5 Stila Products That Are Changing The Game

Stila was one of those brands when I was a teenager that my mom actually allowed me to buy. I don’t know why, but I suppose the packaging looks friendly and welcoming, and the price points were a lot lower than her Dior lipsticks haha Now that I’ve grown up a bit, my love for Stila really hasn’t changed much.

I will say that I’ve graduated from nothing-but-a-lipgloss look though. There are 5 products in particular that I’ve been using recently from Stila that I’m absolutely obsessed with. All for different reasons, but trust me, they’re worth trying out.

I figured I would round up my favs here and tell you why I love them so much, so that if you’re looking for a beauty problem solver, you know right where to find the solution.

This Stila liquid eyeshadow is honestly a game changer. I’ve recently become obsessed with liquid eyeshadows because of how easy they are to apply, blend, and walk out looking like a million bucks. These products are a really nice in-between of a glitter and a shimmer… but just the right amount of glitz to make you feel like a sparkly unicorn.

My favourite part of it is that it’s buildable. So if you want a more intense sparkle, you can layer it on. It also dries quickly, so no need to wait forever. The application stick makes it incredibly easy to use, even for a make up noob, like myself haha

Strobing was one of the most life-changing beauty trends that totally altered my daily routine. Instead of packing on the smokey eye, I started to turn to glowy and natural make up. I still get smokey for nights-out, but during the day, all I really need is a good highlighter.

I’ve had my eyes on this Stila highlighter for what feels like forever. I remember first seeing it and dying over how the texture felt. It’s super smooth, bouncy, and almost has a cushion foundation type of feel. You can use it with a brush or your fingertips, which makes for a ton of versatile application. The ultra-fine, diffusing particles give your skin a natural brightness and doesn’t look like you’ve caked on sparkles.

Primers and before-foundation routines have become a bit of an obsession of mine. I find that what I use underneath my foundation and concealer literally makes the world of a difference on the way my skin looks.

These 2 One Step Stila formulas are 2 of my skin-prep go-tos. The Illuminating primer is perfect when I’m really looking for that dewy-skin look. The Colour Correcting Primer has been instrumental for those days where my skin is looking really dull, I had redness, or my acne scars are flaring up. Both have become staples in my kit for sure.

Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner

If there is one thing I absolutely cannot live without, it’s a good black liquid eyeliner. I’m always on the search for new ones because I wear black eyeliner almost every day. Even if I’m going for that natural look, I use it to line my lash line (since I wasn’t blessed with a ton of lashes, it makes my lashes look fuller and more defined).

This Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner has been one of my favourites. This is my second bottle and I love how the fine tip allows me to create those fine upticks on my cat eyes. It’s also really pigmented so it allows you to build that really line eyeliner, if that’s the look you’re going for.

One thing that always frustrated me when trying to find the perfect concealer and foundation is matching them. I can never get it perfectly right. I’ve gotten better, but I typically need a make up artist to help guide me in the right direction. There’s just so much to think about – undertone colours, redness, body-skin matching, etc.

This concealer and foundation in 1 solution from Stila is literally game changing. I’ve used Stila concealer in the past but this was the first time I tried the foundation. It’s 12-hour wear and you can actually refill the cream concealer at the top. The foundation also boasts a blend of 15 vitamins, and is oil-free and fragrance-free, which are both super important for sensitive skin like mine.

I love how Stila products are super approachable. I like to personify the things I use and wear, and I feel like Stila products are that bubbly best friend who will always keep you smiling and positive haha The products really don’t over-complicate anything, and is perfect if you’re a no-fuss make up person like me. I need my make up to suit my daily life and be there for me when I’m just trying to rush out the door.

… And these products have definitely had my back recently.

Let me know if you’ve tried any of these products, if you have any favourites, and if you like Stila products too!
