A week before Christmas weekend, we spent the weekend all together for 3 full days, doing everything on our holiday wish lists. We figured, before starting off the season with family, we would do something special, just us friends. And boy, did we have a long list of special things to do. And I have to disclose the immense gratitude we have for all of our partners who made that list possible – Shangri-la Toronto, Bosk Toronto, Le Chateau, Bench Canada, Craigellachie 13, Melanie Lyne, T3, Murale, Smashbox, and Korres.
The weekend started with checking into the beautiful Shangri-la Toronto. The service there is honestly impeccable. There’s no comparison. Seriously. The concierge even went to run down the street to buy me Advil one night. After checking in, we relaxed with a stay-at-home spa sitch, perfected with Korres’ Wild Rose Head To Toe Gift Set. We started getting ready and felt seriously glam AF with Smashbox and T3. We threw on our fancy holiday-chic Le Chateau digs and headed to dinner at Bosk. The food at Bosk was indescribable – with champagne on the house, scallops, caviar, lamb, and aloe ice cream (yes, all in one sitting). We went back to the room, changed into elegant Melanie Lyne digs, while the boys sipped on their Craigellachie 13. Then we headed to the ballet to watch the Nutcracker – something none of us had ever done before. Coming back to the room afterwards, relaxing, ordering some late night room service and falling asleep was absolutely blissful. We woke up the next morning to breakfast in bed, long chats over lattes (also in bed), and lounged all day in our Bench cozy clothes.
To say it was the perfect weekend would be an understatement. I’ll let my editorial fill in all the blanks and colour. The whole time I felt like an absolute princess and being with my best friends, well, it was the best holiday gift a girl could ask for.
