Holiday Season Want Lists

Those that have ever crossed my path during the holiday season (or really any point after Halloween, when Christmas stuff starts going up in stores), know that I’m crazy for it. Like literally, crazy. I love everything about the holiday season… yes, even the cold (the cold is only bearable during the holiday season).

holiday

A side effect of this love is constant daydreaming and a very empty wallet. BUT! I protest that it’s all in the spirit of the holidays. So take that credit card bill! (I’ll feel it in January emoji)

That being said, I always love compiling these holiday want-lists or inspiration boards to get me in the mood. It also costs a lot less than impulse-buying. I put together my wish list to send my boyfriend based on some of these mood-boards and looks (so that I know I absolutely love it). Efficient, right?! wink emoji

I also LOVE seeing other people’s wish lists and inspiration lists – I always find new things I absolutely neeeeed to have haha

After perusing, saving, snapping, and linking, I’ve put together my main 3 holiday inspiration-boards from FarFetch.com. Some of my to-die-for designer lust pieces can be found on there (think Givenchy, Moschino, YSL)… and I can’t help but give in to my carnal desire for luxury during the holiday season.

Links to all the pieces can be found right below the mood board so you can add them to your holiday want-list too emoji We can be #twinning emoji

Dressing For The Season All Day

Holiday Casual

Holiday outfits should never be relegated to just holiday parties. For hardcore holiday-spirits, like myself, we’re planning outfits to match our excitement almost every day in December. I like to keep my holiday vibe pretty subtle in my casual outfits (no crazy Christmas sweater prints at the office haha), with jewel tones and a bit of sparkle.

Red Fur Jacket - Simona Tagliaferri
A jacket could not get more luxurious than this – python skin, beaver fur (PETA, don’t hate me). You ooze luxe wearing it over just about anything – yeah, even over sweatpants. And that jewel tone red is a perfect holiday statement! Find Out More
Asymmetrical Black Knit Sweater - Joseph
This investment will definitely stand the test of time. I love the modern cut – draped over a pair of culottes, jeans, or a skirt, and you’re ready for any layering situation. Find Out More
Charm Necklace - Vera Wang
A mixed metal cluster of sparkle that adds just the perfect statement to any knit, dress, or holiday outfit. Definitely a piece that’ll never lose its personality and be a mainstay in your closet. Find out More
Pleather Leggings - Michael Kors
If you don’t have one of these in your closet already (leather leggings are literally a necessity in everything closet, how could you not?)… get on it. #EnoughSaid Find Out More
'Marta' Sunglasses - Celine
I’ve been seriously lusting over the minimalist and clean-chic lines from Celine; and these sunnies are no exception. Need them to blog out the snow-glare, y’know? Canada, you get it wink emoji Find Out More
'Janis 105' Boots - Saint Laurent
Metallic is like my second name in really any season – but winter especially because it brightens up dark outfits. These boots had me at a glance – it’s perfect silhouette and modern vibes will have you stomping the year out with sexiness. Find Out More
Green Velvet Blazer - D&G
This blazer could not scream holiday-luxe more. Velvet sheen, rich evergreen, and the classic blazer look… it’s got the qualities to become a “tradition” piece. Find Out More

For Slaying Holiday Parties

Holiday Party

The holiday season, for me, doesn’t necessarily mean decking myself out in red, green, and ugly sweaters (although, I do do that). My preferred aesthetic for holiday parties is actually “classic shimmer” (especially for work or family functions). Investing in neutral pieces also gets you further in terms of repurposing it after the holidays are over – I’m all for saving that moula sunglass emoji!

Sequin Fringe Dress - Amen
For the holiday season, I actually find “party” outfits more beautiful, elegant, and festive, when they’re muted (like this grey and silver number). I love the “silvery” holiday party look rather than the red crimson party dress. I find it classier, more refined, and perfect for any holiday occasion. Find Out More
Tweed Jacket - Lanvin
This classic Parisian piece is literally the perfect luxury piece to add to your closet. It’s that designer jacket that everyone wants to steal from you and you wear it all the time because it just goes with everything. I also love the gradient of blacks, whites, and greys in the tweed – summer, fall, winter, spring, this jacket works. Find Out More
Drop Earrings - Oscar de la Renta
I love a clean silhouette to a piece of jewelry. It finishes a look perfectly (and I’m particularly loving drop earrings ever since I cut my hair shorter hehe) Find Out More
Clutch - Paula Cademartori
The ‘Cocca’ clutch has all of fashions’ trends incorporated into one little party clutch. And yes, going to a party requires you to have a “party clutch”. It incorporates modernism with its clean lines and metal casing, geometric patterns, and a whole lot of monochome emoji Find Out More
'Candy Lux' Pumps
And I’m back to metallic heels. If you didn’t notice it the first time – I love metallics. Even in a classic pump like this one (look at the shaping of that heel doe shocked emoji), a nice silver color tone will get me every time. Find Out More

For Chestnut Roasting At Home

Holiday Cozy

When I think of my favourite holiday moments, as much as they’re wonderful, the big parties, feasts, and office socials don’t really cut it. The moments that do are those curled up on the couch, by the tree with the fireplace on, watching a movie, reading a book, and cuddled with loved ones. That’s my sorta style of holiday cheer. I’m just updating my favourite holiday moment this year with some new home luxuries wink emoji

Big Book Of Chic
I admit, I do collect coffee table books. I made it my new years resolution last year to actually open them and not let them collect dust. And so this year, I did… and I think that warrants adding another one to my collection. Find Out More
Origami Box - Kelly Wearstler
There’s nothing like a modern box to hold your loved items, especially when it sits so pretty like this one. I’m obsessed with marble, so this black and white marble combo was love at first sight. I love storing polaroids, momentos, or jewelry in them (because normally I forget they’re there and when I open the box, it’s like Christmas all over again emoji) Find Out More
'Mimosa' Candle - Diptyque
It’s no secret that Diptyque candles are the “It Candle” du jour… and for good reason. I love the strength and boldness of their scents. This Mimosa flavour is my absolute fav. Money well indulged. Find Out More
