Spring Transitional Outfit Must-Haves

Spring is finally sprung (or at least, spring-ing) here in Toronto; and I’ve got to say, I am ready for some warmth. The snow is great and we’ve definitely learnt to adapt to it here in the Great White North, but there’s something so fresh about Spring that gets me so excited.

Something I love about spring fashion is that a lot of it’s transitional. They’re pieces you can wear layered in the winter, on it’s own in the summer, and even transitioning into fall (although, let’s not think about Fall 2018 too soon haha). This season, there are definitely a few key trends I keep seeing on my Instagram feed, in fast fashion stores, and just about in every editorial. AND I’M LOVING THEM ALL.
These 4 Spring Transitional Must-Haves are ones I’ve already begun testing as the warmer weather creeps up, and I’ve got to say, they’re so much fun! This spring is all about fun I feel like. We’re getting cheekier, cuter, and a lot girlier up in here… and I don’t hate it.

The printed T is all the rage right now. Cheeky messages, cute quotes, and vintage vibes are what spring Ts seem to be all about right now. Given how much I love my cheese, I’ve got to say, this spring trend is totally up my alley. How can you not smile when you’re wearing a T-shirt that says I need more ice cream”?

Psuedo-suede is one of my favourite spring materials. It’s light, breathable, comfortable, and so easy to layer – basically all the great things you want in a piece for spring. This pseudo-suede moto jacket from my friends at Le Chateau checks all of the boxes. Layered under a teddy coat or wrapped around your waist for those warmer spring days, it’s the jacket you’ll keep on wearing all season long.

I never used to like pink. Call me a “non-girly-girl”, but something about pink just made me cringe and think about my mom forcing me into pink dresses as a kid haha But now that I’ve grown, I don’t feel as averse to it. In fact, I feel like pink makes me feely happy when I wear it, and so much more feminine. A blush pink piece is a staple for spring, and I’m finally embracing it with this moto jacket. It’s not only comfortable and perfect for spring, but this blush pink is just a beautiful neutral, it goes with just about everything! Moral of the story: snag yourself some pink.

Detailed jeans have been trendy for seasons now, but I’m loving the way it’s interpreted for spring this year. Think pearls, eyelets, fringe, and fun! I’m adoring the pearl details on these comfy pair of blues and the mid-waist fit of them is perfect for tucked in blouses or, y’know, that crop top that sneaks in on those summer-hot spring days.

I cannot wait to keep collecting pieces for the new spring season. Out with the old, in with the new, fresh, spring! I couldn’t be more excited (for the new wardrobe, or the new weather). Happy to start to a bright new season friends!
