Those who know me, know that I’m normally not a huge fan of gold – when given the choice between gold and silver, I’m normally silver all the way. I don’t know why, I feel like silver tones are fresher to me (but I could also just be crazy). When I first saw Alora Boutique’s jewelry, TBH, I was reluctant because, again, I’m not a huge fan of gold. But after I took the time to get to know the pieces and learn their stories, I instantly fell in love. It’s funny how inspiration and meaning behind a product can do to a consumer, eh? Damn marketers (hehe).
For my last styled look in my Alora Boutique collaboration, I decided to really embrace this sort of sentiment that nothing’s as it seems and to never judge something by its looks alone. It’s so sappy, I know, bear with me haha. The whole tone of Alora Boutique’s collection is about “finding inner beauty” so I thought something simple but meaningful would be a good wrap up to this 4 part campaign.
I found and resurfaced these old gold jeans from the back of my closet, threw on my favourite black knitted sweater, topped it off with a ball cap and I was good to go. This is normally a go-to weekend outfit for me if I’m not in either workout clothes or, what I call, “stylish sweats” hehe.
If you’ve read my other posts, you’ll know that this Antelope necklace from Alora Boutique’s collection is my absolute favourite. The giraffe, TBH, was my least favourite but its meaning is beautiful. The giraffe is known to be one of the most elegant, and graceful creatures on the planet. It’s designed to help guide you to be not only be graceful, but to have patience, and to have a sturdy footing in life’s potentially rocky terrain. How awesome is that?! Also, I need help in both departments (my friends and Dave would testify to this) – patience and grace (recall the food all over my face thing, yeah 
) – so this necklace definitely suits me.
Don’t I look like a giraffe (pfft, I wish) in a rocky terrain? haha 
I really hope I’m not the only one laughing at myself right now. But you know what? Life’s too short not to laugh at yourself, say what’s on your mind (even if it’s cheesy), and to have fun with it as much as possible.
And this wraps up my campaign with Alora Boutique! I had such a blast being inspired by the beautiful meanings of these pieces. The collection truly speaks so much to my philosophy on life, how I try to live it, and what I believe in. I hope you’ve been inspired by it too.
