There is honestly nothing better than a comfy outfit that looks stylish at the same time. This is my constant struggle in the morning. I want to be both super comfs (borderline pjs) and stylish – but it’s harder than it looks. That’s why you’ll often see me in basics (normally comfy Ts) and a lot of flowy materials. I’m all for power dressing, but on the day-to-day I’m down for what’s easy. The only thing is that when you dress comfs, the outfit can look a little drab (i.e. sweats, baggy silks, etc.). That’s why I rely almost always on my accessories to pick up the slack.
I picked up this jumpsuit for the specific purpose of being a comfy pull-on-and-go sort of outfit. After bringing it home and trying it on though (because sometimes I’m just too damn lazy to do it in store), I felt like it kind of looked like a hybrid between scrubs and a jail suit. Nevertheless, it was comfy as hell and I’d be damned if I let it go to waste. The powdered color is initially what drew me to it and when I was styling up the Alora Stacking bracelets, it clicked as the perfect choice.
I loved how unique each bead in this bracelet was. Some were cloudier, some were brighter – which totally speaks to the handmade aspect of the pieces. The inspiration behind the designs are talasmans to brighten your day and God knows that during my work day, I need that little pick me up. Pink and purple, to be honest, aren’t my favourite colours, but symbolism behind the pieces were enough to make me want them!
I’m all about the layering! So I decided to stack the Alora Boutique Kamili geometric necklace with my favourite from the collection, the Antelope necklace (which stands for confidence and inner beauty). Kamili actually means “perfection”. I love that it’s called that because it really is perfectly imperfect. Each flaw and uniqueness in the piece, to me, speaks to the beauty of imperfections in all of us. Yeah yeah, I know, I’m such a sap
