Those that have ever crossed my path during the holiday season (or really any point after Halloween, when Christmas stuff starts going up in stores), know that I’m crazy for it. Like literally, crazy. I love everything about the holiday season… yes, even the cold (the cold is only bearable during the holiday season).
A side effect of this love is constant daydreaming and a very empty wallet. BUT! I protest that it’s all in the spirit of the holidays. So take that credit card bill! (I’ll feel it in January )
That being said, I always love compiling these holiday want-lists or inspiration boards to get me in the mood. It also costs a lot less than impulse-buying. I put together my wish list to send my boyfriend based on some of these mood-boards and looks (so that I know I absolutely love it). Efficient, right?!
I also LOVE seeing other people’s wish lists and inspiration lists – I always find new things I absolutely neeeeed to have haha
After perusing, saving, snapping, and linking, I’ve put together my main 3 holiday inspiration-boards from FarFetch.com. Some of my to-die-for designer lust pieces can be found on there (think Givenchy, Moschino, YSL)… and I can’t help but give in to my carnal desire for luxury during the holiday season.
Links to all the pieces can be found right below the mood board so you can add them to your holiday want-list too We can be #twinning
Dressing For The Season All Day
Holiday outfits should never be relegated to just holiday parties. For hardcore holiday-spirits, like myself, we’re planning outfits to match our excitement almost every day in December. I like to keep my holiday vibe pretty subtle in my casual outfits (no crazy Christmas sweater prints at the office haha), with jewel tones and a bit of sparkle.
For Slaying Holiday Parties
The holiday season, for me, doesn’t necessarily mean decking myself out in red, green, and ugly sweaters (although, I do do that). My preferred aesthetic for holiday parties is actually “classic shimmer” (especially for work or family functions). Investing in neutral pieces also gets you further in terms of repurposing it after the holidays are over – I’m all for saving that moula !
For Chestnut Roasting At Home
When I think of my favourite holiday moments, as much as they’re wonderful, the big parties, feasts, and office socials don’t really cut it. The moments that do are those curled up on the couch, by the tree with the fireplace on, watching a movie, reading a book, and cuddled with loved ones. That’s my sorta style of holiday cheer. I’m just updating my favourite holiday moment this year with some new home luxuries
