And let’s be honest, I often find a few gifts for myself along the way (haha) Right now, most of my friends and I are in “home-mode”, what we like to call a part of #adulting. It’s where all we want to do is shop for our homes. I think they also call that “nesting”? A lot of our friends are also couples, and finding a single gift for their home is the perfect way to tick both names off of the list. Between them and our family, buying something for the home makes for the perfect functional and thoughtful gift… at least, we think so (Dave and I are certainly home enthusiasts ourselves).

Where To Shop For The Home Enthusiast

When we think of our home and the things we want to add to it, home tech is always the first thing that comes to mind. Decor is something that changes and is sometimes harder to nail down, but everyone loves a good gadget. And there are a ton of incredible home tech on the market right now.

Best Buy is almost always the first place we go to when we thinking of purchasing tech, but it’s also one of our favourite one-stop-shops to head to to pick up gifts in general. There’s always something for everyone and there is most definitely something for that home enthusiast. Beyond the vast selection at Best Buy, we also love that it’s always been a great shopping experience.

Online, BestBuy.ca is such a user-friendly experience. You can choose to get items shipped to your home or reserve it and pick it up in a store near you. In-store, their “Blue Shirts” are always so helpful. Whether you have questions about how something works or need a recommendation, they’re always helpful (and not pushy). Dave actually worked at a Best Buy store himself for several of his younger years, and I like to think he had a first hand look behind the scenes.

What To Buy For The Home Enthusiast

A quick browse online and you’ll find a ton of ideas that will delight your home-enthusiast gift recipient. I personally have my eye on a ton of these items (in case anyone reading this is interested.. hi mom!). From something centred around function, to something fun-loving and unique, I feel like each of these gifts are not only smart, but thoughtful too (have someone on your list who always loses their keys? there’s a gift for that).

At the top of the list is the Google Nest Hub. This is because it’s legit THE. GO. TO. GIFT. A couple of years back, Dave and I purchased 4 Google Home Minis from Best Buy (one for each of our parents), and it was a major hit. But the Google Nest Hub brings it to a whole new level.
