A couple months ago, I started an ambassadorship with Geox and I felt like it was a match made in heaven. Their view on comfort spoke my language perfectly. They don’t just preach it though, they literally live and breathe it… and so do their shoes. Each and every pair of Geox shoes I have pre and post ambassadorship has been some of my favourite pairs in my collection… all because of their comfort.
They’re, hands down, my favourite travelling shoes because I just can’t deal with blisters. For the amount of adventure and trekking I plan on doing for trips, the risk of pained feet is just not an option. And my Geox shoes have come through for me each and every time.
I was so excited to be an ambassador (not only because I genuinely love their shoes, but because it’s also a bit of a family legacy). My mom’s always been a huge lover of Geox shoes. And, admittedly, I used to hate them (I thought they were “grown up shoes”, not “cool”). I soon realized why she loved them so much and it was one of those “Damn, mom… you were right” moments.
I had the honour of being asked to take part in Geox’s recent look book for their new Nebula collection. And I jumped at the chance. Literally though. I jumped.
Their new Nebula shoes are all about that comfort. They held nothing back… and I love that. The inspiration behind the technology was to “walk the world” and it touched every heartstring in my body. The technology was meant to make you feel like you’re walking on clouds and boasts lasting through all season or boundaries. Basically, it’s one fearless pair of shoes.
I love how light they are – it seriously makes walking (and packing them in a suitcase) perfect. Can a walk be perfect? 
The shoes have some intense “breathing” technology too. I know, these shoes are sounding more and more like one smart ass creature, not just a pair of sneakers. In all seriousness though, they’re actually designed to regulate your body temperature. So you know when you’re on the plane and your feet are swollen but the altitude and feel like they’re going to explode if they get any hotter? Well, for me, wearing my Nebulas on the plane actually solved this problem entirely.
They’ve got a whole science behind it, but basically, you’ll never get that clammy, sweaty, smelly inner-sneaker sitch with these.
Of course, they’re water repellent too and my favourite part? They’re slip ons! Talk about bringing back childhood vibes eh? Slip and go!
For me, when a product is so incredible and has so much thought and inspiration behind it, I can’t help but share it with you guys. I also really wanted to show you the final products of the look book Dave and I shot for them.
I felt inclined to embody the Nebula vibe – nothing held back, intense movement, and above all, comfort. When you’re not thinking about your shoes pinching the side of your feet or making you hesitate with every step, it’s a true blessing. And you just feel like jumping!
So that’s exactly what I did.
It felt liberating, like I was holding my breath and now I could finally breathe. I guess that’s why their campaign makes so much sense: #StartBreathing 
Feeling unchained and liberated is one of the best things about living… and in some places in the world, it truly is a blessing. So here’s to celebrating that – breathing, moving, and living with no boundaries.
