Bench. is an amazing pioneer not only in the “pop my hood” trend (circa 2000s) but also in modern strategic partnerships. I’m a little bit of an advertising geek when it comes to this, but I find brands, who’ve learnt how to partner with “strategic ambassadors”, super forward and smart. Bench. is one of those brands. They’re well known to partner with local bloggers (myself included) and go so far as even including blogger picks on their e-commerce site. Although it’s pretty common knowledge for brands to partner with bloggers, it’s still a pretty “new” thing for a lot of conservative corporations.
Having “Bench. Ambassadors” is definitely the mark of a good on-trend marketing department (and, as much as bloggers might try and deny it, we are only able to continue to do what we do because of this ecosystem between influencers are brands). I don’t work with brands I don’t like, but I think there’s something to be said about transparency in blogger-brand partnerships (as I’m sure you, a reader, must appreciate as well). There’s a difference between working with every and any brand that throws their products at you, and carefully working with the brands that align well with your blog and personal brand.
I’m super excited to announce that I’ll be continuing my adventure as one of the Bench. ambassadors this fall and winter season… so expect lots more new fitness adventures and fun work out posts!
Founded in 1989, Bench. was actually a skate and BMX brand; but they’ve grown from there since then and now represent the modern millennial and our fast paced and changing lifestyles. Their fall collection looks awesome (some sneak peek look book shots below) and I can’t wait to style them and share my favourite pieces throughout the season.
In other Bench. news, there’s a new very exciting addition to the “Bench. Ambassadors”. They have international super star and Grammy-winner, Jess Glynne, repping their F/W campaign! You probably know her from this song. I absolutely love her and her single so I’m super thrilled to see her as the face of the campaign. Yes, I’m totally the girl singing it loud and proud with my windows down
As part of the campaign, I think it’s so cool that Jess is hosting a 24 hour campaign in her hometown – London, England. No surprise that she’s English, because she totally has that whole “I don’t give a f*ck” cool-girl attitude. Make sure you stay tuned throughout the campaign and check back for the fun I have with Bench. this season as one of their Bench. ambassadors. I’m sure there’ll be some super fun stuff for you too
Who do you think should be Bench. Ambassadors? Nominations?
