You know how there are certain pieces in your closet that just bring something out of you that you can’t really describe? It makes you feel a certain way, omit a certain type of vibe, and is effortless to piece together. That, for me, is definitely moto jackets.
I’ll be honest, the reason I’m so addicted to the cut and style of moto jackets is due a large part to that fact that open lapels flatter my chest size in a way that classic blazers don’t really do. I’ve always been a little insecure about my chest size, always wanting to mask it or make it seem smaller (I know, so backwards right? The grass is always greener). And although I’m maturing away from my teenage insecurities, it’s nice to feel comfortable in what you’re wearing; and moto jackets do just that for me.
If you peak into my closet, you’ll see a nice array of moto jackets, but this one I just picked up from the Rudsak sample sale is my new go-to. I know it’s so cheesy (and this is in no way sponsored) but Rudsak’s slogan “The Spirit of Cool Rebel” is exactly how you feel sporting this jacket. The leather is so light, breathable, and soft enough to keep you occupied when bored (by excessively touching it)
I styled two looks with it, although TBH, I wear it at least every other day as a throw-over-and-go. I’ll be sharing my second styled outfit a little later on (trying to garner that suspense, y’know? ). This one is a casual weekend go-to, inspired by my inner badass (as much of a badass as I can be) that only comes out when wearing moto jackets.
“Hair looking like a bird’s nest? No problem! Basically looking like a hot mess? Cool, no worries” is basically what’s going through my head. I love how a piece of clothing can make you feel like this.
I paired this moto jacket up with light ripped jeans and a silky peach blouse (because I just can’t help but throw something a little bit more feminine in there for contrast). I threw on my strappy sandals and my Chanel and I was out the door.
Sometimes keeping it simple and seemingly boring can be the most exciting – because what’s more cool than feeling effortless?
Stay tuned for my styling of this moto jacket with a different flare later on this upcoming week! One jacket, different vibes!
Do you have a piece of clothing, like my moto jackets, that just makes you feel ever-so-cool/is your go-to? I’d love to hear about them!
