Sunglasses finish off just about every look. It’s no wonder Anna Wintour wasn’t caught dead (indoor or outdoors) without them. And although I’m ditching the pomp fashion attitude, I’m totally onboard with a fun new set of sunnies! Maybe wearing them will bring the warmth into Toronto sooner haha
Every season, I go on a bit of a sunglasses haul. Yes, my sunglasses collection is pretty extensive (no sunglass-collection shaming please haha).
I just feel like a good pair of sunglasses revamp all of my outfits without having to really revamp them.
And this season, there is no shortage of cute sunnies on the horizon. If anything, the sunnies are getting bolder, more retro, and so much more fun. Bring on the heart shaped glasses haha (admittedly, I do own a pair of those).
A spot I always hit up every season for sunglasses (and a ton of new accessories) is Le Chateau family. At an average of $20 per pair, you really can’t go wrong picking up one of each. I did a mini haul from them this season and have been wearing each of these babies on heavy repeat.
There are a couple things I look for when purchasing sunnies – fit being the largest one, but also versatility, durability, and cost. And the below definitely check off all of the boxes in the category.
Recapping all the styles I’m lusting over, as well as the ones I picked up below:
1
Thinny MinniesYoko Ono would definitely be proud. The new wired frame look is back and it’s coming in heavy. I love the way that these let your face shine and seemingly cover just your eyes. Go for a geometric shape like these to add a bit more flare. And my fellow asian friends out there, wired frames typically mean nose pads – score!

The New Cat EyeThe cat eye will always be in season and it’s my absolute favourite trendy sunglasses shape. I feel like it always adds that extra oomph of cool to any outfit and always adds a bit of femininity. These thinner versions are all over the place and they’re definitely on heavy repeat for me.

Clearly RetroThe clear frame vibe is reimagined with these bigger, more angular, and dusted rose sunglasses. I love that shows off your face and gives us that illustrious retro vibe that everyone is going after these days. Make it your own by finding a pair in your favourite colour!

With all of these new sunnies, I’m tempted to book Dave and myself a new tropical getaway to really bust them out. But until then, you’ll see these cuties on heavy repeat in almost all of my Instagram images. Hopefully I’m pulling off the “fun in the sun” vibe over the “Anna Wintour” vibes haha Here’s to welcoming in the sunny seasons with brand new sunnies!
