Jumpsuits and I have always had a love-hate relationship. Love – because they’re literally one of the easiest outfits to throw together and look so effortless on. Hate – because, well, we’re all girls and LBH, washrooms and jumpsuits are not the best combo.
But take the toilet out of the situation and jumpsuits are literally one of the best investment items to add into your closet for both a statement and for versatility. The last one might have you wondering: versatile? really? I can only imagine wearing a jumpsuit one way. But girl, are you wrong!
Here’s why jumpsuits are better than you think:
- They are often SO comfortable. The type of fabric used on most jumpsuits are super comfortable, flowy, and have a lot of give (unless it’s a jumpsuit leotard… but I haven’t seen one of those since dance class haha)
- They’re effortless and require no thought. When you’re freaking out not knowing what to wear in the morning, that’s where your jumpsuits step in. They’re a pre-made outfit for you that you can throw on and go, cover every part of your body, and require no further thought.
- They’re a statement. With one fell jump-in, you’ve got yourself a statement outfit. No need to piece things together. It’s a statement in and of itself.
- They’re more versatile to style than you think. If you’re thinking I can only create one outfit with this jumpsuit, you’re not thinking out of the box haha Technically a jumpsuit has both a top and a bottom (just stitched together). It makes the perfect layering piece, especially into transitional season. Throw on a chunky sweater and your jumpsuit quickly becomes a new pair of pants.

The one I’m wearing in my outfit here is currently my new favourite. I’ve been wearing it on heavy repeat (day over day), and have not apologized once for repeating my outfit twice in a row. It’s honestly just the most comfortable and easy outfit and is the perfect summer throw-on-and-go piece. Naturally, all of these jumpsuits are from one of my favourite brands – Le Chateau. I must have 10 jumpsuits from them by now haha This one also has a culotte leg so it’s super easy and breezy for those days you’re preparing for knee-sweat haha
