Growing up, I never cared much for shopping for bras or panties. It felt like more of a chore than it was a pleasure. I mean, it was just being worn underneath my clothes, right? Why did I have to put effort into shopping for them?
Fast forward to today (#adultlife), and I appreciate the art of shopping for intimate apparel so much more. I came to the realization that:
- We wear these items every single day. Every day. And shamefully, I don’t wear any piece of my clothing nearly that often.
- A well-fitting bra goes a long way in supporting your “assets” and even making your clothes fit better on you
- Uncomfortable underwear is the worst possible thing for our sensitive lady parts
A couple years ago, after reluctantly attending a bra-fitting, I realized I had been wearing the wrong size bra for basically my entire life, since growing my coconuts at least. After spending time researching and really understanding my body and what I look for in the perfect bra and panties, I also realized that I was always finding bras and panties in random stores (and truthfully, was going for cheap rather than quality).
So along came the journey of discovery – finding new brands, new fits, new makes, and trying all of them to find the ones that are juuuuuuust right…

I recently received a nude set from Passionata from their new collection to try out and absolutely fell in love. The way the pieces hug my body without squeezing, fit my curves without bulging, and provides comfort in all the clothing I wear is beyond.
The details of the pieces are also incredible. There’s just the right amount of lace and sheer mesh to make me feel sexy, but doesn’t overcomplicate it, nor make it too fancy where I can’t wear it under a t-shirt without showing bumps (you know what I’m talking about). I’ve become a strong believer that what we wear underneath our clothes is just important as the clothes we wear on the outside.
