The red was definitely different for me. I never had a colourful designer piece before and could never bring myself to purchase anything other than black. After a good close to a month of using it, here are my overall observations about the bag:
Quality
- Prada, like many of the luxury fashion houses out there, makes their pieces out of beautiful, high quality leathers and materials
- The chain has an amazing weight and luxury feel to it with its brushed gold finish
- The leather of the calf skin is pretty sensitive, like all calf skins. So if you’re looking to pick this baby up, make sure you’re mindful of the scratches that may occur on the calf skin leather
Style
- The size makes it perfect for every outfit, almost like a piece of jewerly
- The rivets and the details on the hardware are absolutely gorgeous
- Red is a huge trend this colour and this burgundy, deeper red, is going to make you chic throughout the season
- The colour blocking of the red and black give your outfit that extra oomph
Lasting Power
- Even though it’s trendy, it definitely is a classic piece
- The size and classic rounded shape make it timeless as ever
- The gold hardware is brushed so it doesn’t scrape, stain, and wear off
Verdict: Is It Worth It?
- If you’re looking for a statement purse, this baby is everything and more
- It’s an amazing red purse to keep as a staple throughout time. I’ve learned that red is definitely classic
