Affordable Summer Dresses You Can Justify Buying

Insert summer-dance here… because with our temperatures soaring upwards of 30 degrees, we are finally in the heat of summer, my friends. And with summer fashion comes summer dresses… y’know, those beautiful flowy garments that have been sitting in your closet collecting dust? Those.

TBH, I always find it tough to invest in summer dresses. In Canada, we’re able to wear them for all of (stretching it) 3-4 months… and that’s about it. That said, there is nothing like frolicking in the summer sun, on a bbq, at a patio party, or at a wedding, in a beautiful summer dress.

The equalizer for me is finding summer dresses that give me that illustrious feeling, while not breaking the bank. Every season, I pick up a couple piece to add to my summer dress collection. I always hope for them to last longer than a season, but if they don’t, at least my wallet didn’t suffer.

A floral affair…

This maroon floral piece from Le Chateau has it all for me this summer – florals, frills, and a transitional length. The off-shoulder vibe gives it trendiness, while the length takes me from chilling to wedding, real quick. With the right amount of flutter (that wind though), this dress makes me feel ready to frolic in the floral gardens.
